Happy Halloween

Halloween and last day of October. Cute little goth princesses with spiders painted on their cheeks and black nail polish is out in the streets today. Im going home to spend the night with Glee and a pack of Anna’s ginger break cookies I found our corner shop having.

Yesterday we went to a movie screening. Cant tell you more than that but it was a cool experience.

Looking forward to soon seeing you and mum Dad when we are back in Sweden in a couple of weeks. Also going to Ebba’s 30th. It’s all about dressing up and meeting old friends. Love dressing up and Oliver always looks so dashing in his suit.

I walk the streets of this city with boots on my feets and leather on my back

Good week so far. Chilly but sunny in London and I’m kicking leaves in my Dr Martens and looking oddly twin peaks inspired with my new leather jacket. Not too tired from the weekend and looking forward to both Magnus and Christoph being in London over the weekend.

Yesterday went to the movies and saw Beasts of the southern wild. Amazing movie. Had me crying and wanting to move out to a shack in the woods. There is few things better than the feeling after a really good movie. We got offered to see a screening of a movie tonight. Hell yeah, free cinema!

Today carrying good things with me by listening to this years first christmas songs and dreaming of being at my country house all geared up for Christmas.

Made us omelette last night. Only half done here, had a great baked hue after being done in the oven. There is lot of food i’ve brought with me after detox. According to Sanna they are all following my detox at her work, im a detox guru (haha, i laugh at myself for that. Me – the sweeties king) (you can see the horrible bacon tray in the background. Ed’s tray he keep redoing bacon on without cleaning. On bad days it floats around the kitchen like it had a life on its own)

Gym at lunch. Already now planning for all the Christmas goodies. Mmm, ginger bread dough. Magnus said he might bring me some from Sweden. Epic!

Amongst cheerleading vampires, pig heads and skeletons

Amazing weekend! There is something about the mix small, blonde best friends and fancy dress that is irresistible. After work on Fri met up with my little Julia and we crammed in a quick catch up before drinking drinks out of jam jars at The Shop for Oliver’s bday drink. Drinks should always be served in jam jars!

Saturday was one long lead up to the evening’s Halloween party up East. We got on our best vamp gear and spent the evening dancing juiced up on redbull until there was nothing left in us at a pub in Halloway. When Ol and Julia decided it was time to go home at 2 I grumped like a kid since I wanted to go on forever but realised it was for the best when I met Jules for breakfast at 10.30 the day after.

Magical weekend. Sad to see the little one go home but equally happy i got to have her for a weekend.

Wear something pink for breast cancer day at work. Didnt haven a camera for Friday evening so this is all i have to show for getting drunk out of jam jars.

A vampire riding the tube. The man next to Oliver dont look to psyched about it.

Elin and Tom had made a spectacular job with their face paint. Julia wore red lenses. Crazy shit.

Ben was just disgusting…

Me and the little one. She still looks young and healthy, nothing like my aging 80’s vampire.

I understand Oliver’s slightly scared looking face. It aint no picnic dating an old rock and roll vampire.

Pretty fucking amazing!

Why not. A pig’s head in a trolley.

A 20’s vampire and poison Ivy.

After Julia left Oliver and me had a lazy sunday. He drew, I read vampire filth. As we do on sunday’s.

Trick or treat

Grumpy like an old beaver in the mornings. I blame the jet lag. Might also have something to do with the London grey outside the window. As soon as I’m up, showered and dressed I perk up, beaver is replaced by giddy school girl.

Friday and Julia is in town. We are getting Halloween uped and then off to Olivers birthday drink at the Shop. Seems like a cool place, mainly because you can buy pretty much anything in there. I hope someone will feel generous to Ol since it’s almost his bday and buy him (us that is) something nice.

Tomorrow Halloween party. I want to be an unicorn. Will probably end up being a vampire but happy anyway.

Here’s some pictures from when I celebrated Oliver

I sang the swedish birthday song and wrapped his gift in tin foil. It was a toy plane, we are going to Berlin.

I also ‘baked’ him a spectacular cake – a gigantic chocolate ball flattened out into a patty. He is one lucky bastard.

To make Ol happy me and his family took him to weird performance art exhibition.

and then for food. Good shit.

Sunday was even more art. At the Frieze art fair. The gigantic birthday candles were cute.

But it went downhill from there. Plate in turd?

 Boob/panty hanging

 Pink walruss

My favourite – disco ball hanging. Want this in my living room.

Exhausting. Ended with awesome pistachio macaroon.

Tramp dogging

I was dead yesterday. Or to be honest, more like a space cowboy. Off in my own Unicorn world. Went to work straight from the airport, looked at emails and pretended to understand what they said. Coming home from work Oliver took care of me, he treated me like the Tramp dog i am and made me dinner.

I passed out at 10.

Wraps with halloumi and hommous. So good. And the only thing i needed to do was eat it.

He bought flowers and the cleaner had just been there. Best Ever!

Putting up the projector and watched some Twin Peaks in bed. Passed out by 10, think i saw about 10 min. Good thing Oliver knew I would be Tramp dog, otherwise not so fun girlfriend delivery.

Empire State of mind

New York was fun, crazy, lovely and a manic roller coast ride with the best girls. We refused to realize we should be grown up and did everything we wanted and a little bit more. Between tequila bingo, helicopter over Manhattan, seeing Brooklyn from Jonathan’s boat, brunch party at Bagatelle, swimming in the Boom Boom Room pool and dice night we realized that 30 is the new 20. Or something. Anyway, we used and got used by NYC yet another time.

More to come, I’m not even near done with scruffy back alley clubs and late night parties. Until life actually get in my way I think this is what I need from time to time, loosing myself in the fun of doing everything that gets in my way. NYC I will be coming back soon.

First night, very excited for tequila bingo

Sanna and maggie too. Michael just had to ride our wave.

 Amazing Tortilla Flats

I won! A t-shirt, a canned beer and a carbine for Oliver. And tequila shots for the team. Best win ever

The day after I was a bit tired. So I stayed home and cooked the girls dinner with our jewish funeral candles.

Maggies bday! She was woken with balloons, macaroons, breakfast and singing.

 Happy birthday girl.

We walked down to the bridge for a morning in the sun.

Then to Freemans for lunch. Yum, artichoke dip.

 Födeledagsgrisen!

Maggie’s big surprise – she took us helicopter over Manhattan. We were very glamorously dressed.

Statue of Liberty from the sky.

 The new twin towers.

After this to red Rooster in Harlem. Super cool place.

The day after was Rose Bar and Boom Boom Room. S and F glammed up!

We went to a BYOB place and drank all the Zubrowka while nibbling on some sushi. No wonder we ended up swimming in the ‘clamydia’ pool in the BBR.

After Rose Bar, swimming and numerous shots we went to a bar to play billiard.

The dedication to the game was a bit so so.

Went for night food instead and had the place dancing to gagnam style with us.

The day after was the dice night. We started at Back Room on Lower East Side and the first drink was a tequila… followed by a tequila…followed by an absinth. All according to the dice.

That’s when you look this happy.

Next place was a mezcaleria but we won and only had to drink mojitos.

and that makes you THIS happy.

On the way to the next place the girls met a horse. Think it was more about sobering up.

At Yaffa caffe we diced  – very scary…

winning! we ended up having to down a milk. I think that saved our asses.

Last place was sing sing. We sung karaoke until 4 in the morning and then we decided to go home and not go to the next 5 places on my list.

Saturday morning we were tired. Went to Williamsburg and bought vintage leather jackets. Ate at Rosita and tried to survive the blasting sun.

Met Jonathan and ended up going to his boat (or rather ferry, the place is gigantic. He has made rooms for 10 people to live on it.) Sanna and Filippa went home but Mags and me stayed for talks, vodka and guitar and ending by calling Billy.

I connected with the cat Eskimoe. Ugly and smart, like that in a mammal. Cats aren’t really my thing but what’s not to love about one that claims Hesse’s Siddharta?

Sunday – last day, last drunk and has to be done in style. Went to Bagatelle for afternoon booze brunch.

With the gigantic drink we got on it in minutes.

The party lights helped, felt as disconnected to anything normal as you feel after 6 days straight of drinking.

 The Maggan and me.

It’s just something about gigantic multi coloured straws that gets the party a little bit better.

Maggan owned the drinking.

The champagne was brought in by girls riding on shoulders, At this point I was more fascinated by the couple next to us. It was the man, his wife, their daughter and the mistress all having a ‘happy’ brunch while getting smashed.

Wasnt easy to hear anything. Didnt stop us from trying. I agreed to everything she said.

Flattering party light for our puffy faces.

Filippa was very keen on the shot and the Aya napa feeling.

When the brunch was over we bought Halloween outfits and went to Catch. It was all dressed up and fancy, we werent. They looked less than happy we were there but the american hospitality let us stay.

Until I took it a bit too far

Didnt stop us from having fun and ignore the fact they’ve started asking us to leave
and talk about the important things in life.

Last but not least – the Beauty Bar. The guys got manicures and we ate Mac’n’cheese

Last day in the sun. Tired, bloated and happy.
Best week with lots of new memories to keep you warm in the old people’s home.

I survived!

We are home in one piece, there was times during this week that could be questioned. All worth it though, an amazing week of fun. The last cough as Kix say, this last epic dances before its time to put the hat on the shelf.

I will update with pictures and stories but for now Im simply trying to stay awake and longing for home where Oliver have stacked the fridge with everything I love and flowers that smell good.

Maggie’s birthday in heaven

We celebrated Maggie yesterday with an amazing day. Started out by singing for her in our bling up bday home. After that sat in the sun by the water, went to a museum, had the best lunch at freemans, went home and dolled up, went for a helicopter ride over manhattan, drinks at schillers and then dinner at red rooster in harlem. The perfect day!

Today happy but tired and going out for a day of shopping.

A message from nyc

Hi dad (and everyone else)

We are having a really good time. Celebrating maggie turning 30 today and living nyc. When we landed we headed out for tequila bingo. I won a t-shirt and tequila shots, getting something for my profession.

Im still in bed trying to not wake mag up, soon meet sanna och f in the kitchen to fix her pink bday morning.

When we were out on mon i got flowers from a homeless man because i was sad. It bodes well for the rest of the week starting it up with someone being so sweet.
