Surprise

Tuesdays are normally my me and hound chill time of the week. So also yesterday.

BloggerImage
Made myself weird leftover dinner
BloggerImage
And once again realised why I can never get tatttooed when I found this and instantly went ‘I want that’.
And really, do you want to see a 50+ in that? Me neither.

All perfectly normal for a Tuesday in other words. So colour me surprised when George’s friend Matt walked in the door.
He was supposed to stay with us tonight. Or so I was told. But no. So we went for a beer and discussed politics.
But that means tonight’s quiet night. Which I’m pretty stoked about since there are still loads of ginger bread dough in my fridge.

A frosty London

Being spoilt both by my boyfriend and by the London weather. And everything is going swimmingly at work. And to top it all – 2 more days to December.

Yes, I’m unstable af at the moment and on Saturday I had a little cry in the morning but today all kinds of awesome. So let’s be REALLY happy when I get the chance.
Welcome to crazy town.
BloggerImage
Last nights dinner made by my man – bulgars badass bolognese. This is after the cleaned the flat, did the dishes and put on a wash.
Must have done something right to deserve this.
BloggerImage
This morning took hound to an icy cold but beautiful London. Frost on the leaves in Ravenscourt.
BloggerImage
Woolly was in the best mood and even if it was painful leaving the bed at 7 instead of 8 it was worth it for the coming out in the sunshine.
BloggerImage
Woolly agreed and bombed around the park making friends.
Still freezing at work because no boiler so I’m happy Im wearing my warmest sweater.
Super chilled week so there will be a lot of sofa time. But flats been christmassed so I’m happy.

A Sunday in Richmond

Happy one day past first of advent!

BloggerImage
I prepared my candle holder, made myself a cup of tea and cut up some ginger bread dough. George was out so it was just me and mini hound. Not too bad if you ask me.
BloggerImage
Before that Katta and me went to Richmond for a 4 hour walkathon. We kept saying ‘this is the best ever’. Because honestly, its the best ever. The outside!
BloggerImage
We found a castle that turned out to be a ballet school. Dreamed away of being princesses.
BloggerImage
But went to petersham for food instead pretty happy just being us.
BloggerImage
And then ALL the Christmas baubles. But I was good and stopped myself from buying anything else than two hyacinths. High five me.
BloggerImage
Night ended with me eating a space lollipop and watching a Brazilian sci-fi. Worse ways of ending my Sunday.

M83 – rocking my socks off

It was finally time for my 6 months gift to George. M83 in Brixton. Because all kinds of awesome and one of the bands we both really love.

We met at Brixton station and went to Boqueria for dinner. Honestly some of the best tapas in London.
George had a generally amazing day and was on top form. That meant shots. Great call. Thought me last night. Less so today.
BloggerImage
Concert was all kinds of awesome. And busy. So we had to do the sway-ey seaweed dance. Like to 30 plus we are #coolkids
BloggerImage
We drank vodka redbull. Because that’s what you do at concerts. Especially when you have serious ‘can’t stop dancing’ issues.
BloggerImage
Look at our happy faces.
BloggerImage
Rainbow unicorn lights. You know how to make a hippie raver happy (dreaming of burning man).
BloggerImage
Then we came home, talked fantasy and waited for George’s friend conal to pop by. I fed everyone and then went to bed because responsible. Surprised! Yes. Me too.

6 month anniversary gifts in Brixton

One thing about the weeks before Christmas is that it’s busy. In a nice way but still.

My weekends are booked out and because George have about 2000 friends there are people staying on our sofa most of the time.
Not complaining, means I get someone to talk to when he is off working. And help around the house. A never ending stream of strapping young men helping me out.
A so called win.
BloggerImage
Otherwise my face looks like this. Because lonely. On the other hand, last night read Dans latest book updates and ate ginger bread dough.
Who am I to complain?
Tonight we are heading to Brixton for M83 concert. My 6 months anniversary gift to George. And now we are almost 10 months in. Which is nothing. But also all the time.

Parents in town

Me, sofa, hound. The perfect trifecta. It’s very cozy in the house right now slowly getting christmassed (sorry George but I can’t stop myself. Too much love for Christmas)

Last night had the parents over. We did take away Thai and drank George dads home made wine.
BloggerImage
Apparently delicious despite being made in their garage in Sydney 🙂
BloggerImage
My mum wouldn’t stop feeding W pepparkaka. This is a dog who doesn’t really get sugar. He fell in love…
BloggerImage
And I think my parents love their hairy grandchild a little bit too…
BloggerImage
And George charmed them with his Bulgarian ways. My two hairy heroes. Just want my family to love them as much as I do.
Buying their love by George making cocktails for Christmas. Don’t be stupid…
BloggerImage
This morning worked from home and sent selfies to George to pep him his interview. This is serious pep. And gangsta.
BloggerImage
Then lunch with the parents and got a name day gift in form of a hyacinth. Sometimes she is pretty damn awesome my mum.

The count down have started

It’s a serious count down to Christmas and holiday now. 25 more working days. I can do this…

BloggerImage
I celebrated weekend by joining George to Found after my ice cold walk on Saturday (first bed. Of course.)
Me, Katta and Maria had dinner and then the need for heaven and hell took over and we placed ourselves firmly in the bar.
BloggerImage
Madde, Christoffer, Eric and a couple of other swedes joined as well for what ended up being never ending cocktails. Because awesome.
BloggerImage
We finally got Lollo to Found. That was a long time coming. Only took 10 months.
BloggerImage
This guy <3. He was an excellent host as always and served us delicious shots and got us drunk. As you do if you like getting your swedes drunk.
BloggerImage
When I got home he couldn’t stop himself from giving me one of my Christmas gifts. He got too excited. As did I. Need this for my hung over Diet Coke on weekend mornings.
BloggerImage
Also got a belated bday gift from Madde and Christoffer. Like a year later. But awesome friends. The flat is like a unicorn land these days.
BloggerImage
And on Sunday the parents came. We went into town, popped by winter wonderland and had dinner at ivy brasserie, here dad and George are discussing what drinks to be served for Christmas break. Because want to get the family drunk. I applause that.
Today monday. But made better for dinner with mum and dad at home. And tomorrow it’s Tuesday and one day closer to glorious, glorious holiday.

Saturday

It’s cold in London today. Cold enough for a hat. Loving it.

BloggerImage
So I wrapped up and took mini hound for a walk leaving my man sleeping in bed.
Best thing about going to bed 10 on a Friday is feeling fresh on a Saturday. Yes, I’m 60 years old.
BloggerImage
Pretty out though.
BloggerImage
Woolly had a blast. We think he has some prostate issues so glad when he is running around like a crazy.
You’re in my heart little dude, we’ll fix you right up.
BloggerImage
And my breakfast. Because delicious.
Now picking up lunch and then back for a snuggle in bed because life ❤

You know. Life.

Sorry friends, I have been rubbish at updating this week. Blame work. Because I actually need to, you know, work.

Scandalous!
So, recap.
BloggerImage
Maggie, Erik and per came to town. We are Louisiana food and got drunk and found. What else. Baby cuz popped by as well.
Family!!
BloggerImage
At 3 I was ready to throw in the towel after bar hopping for what felt like days. But the crew wasn’t done so when I headed home to went in pursuit of that last dance.
They failed…
BloggerImage
On Saturday we had lunch at Petersham all the girls plus Lollo’s new man. Cred to him for being the only guy and rocking it.
BloggerImage
Then more drinks. Because you know, drinks. We were all in different stages of deadly tired but persevered. We are nothing if not warriors.
BloggerImage
Crew!
BloggerImage
Tommy and jack came by for dinner and we had life saving dinner at The Oak. And that was it from this Cool Gang. Game over. Home time.
BloggerImage
Took W for a walk on Sunday and then the rest of the day in bed. Best ever. Very needed.
BloggerImage
The rest of the week have been easy peasy lemon squeezy. On Wednesday me and woolly chilled out beans at Found
BloggerImage
And yesterday Katta and me went to the Swedish Christmas fair.
BloggerImage
Hallelujah ginger bread dough. Paced myself though, wise from experience know that my stomach don’t want too much delicious in one go.
BloggerImage
Today polkagrisar and another night of home time before drinks tomorrow and the parents on Sunday. Pretty damn good weekend.
BloggerImage
Spewing rainbows that’s how happy I am.
See you soon dad. High five.

Dress up party girls night

You know how I decided to forget about the world and go for a drink yesterday. Well, I successfully did that. Like a pro.

Headed up to Found after work and met up with Charlie and went for a nice girl dinner just the two of us. Normally she is either working or me with dog but tonight it was just the two of us, a bottle of wine and GT.
Went to a newly opened tapas restaurant called popolo up in shoreditch. Delicious. Then we headed back to Found, had a couple of more drinks and added Louise to our girl night.
And since those ladies are awesome and crazy we ended going to a place Lou works the door – a very high end strip club.
BloggerImage
On the third floor was this cool dude moose head
BloggerImage
As well as a wealth of dress up clothes
BloggerImage
We went straight for it (don’t want to think about what those clothes have been through before)
BloggerImage
Then we got shown the hidden room behind a book case where everything is expensive antiques and a lap dance costs you a couple of months salary
BloggerImage
That deserves looking sexy on a sofa.
After that the girls returned me to George and continued their night out. I needed to be put to bed to be bright and shiny at work this morning.
Or, kind of bright and shiny…but, the day was instantly made better by my man having brought down gumbo from tujacks for me to have to lunch.
That’s love…
