Giving up on today

I wrote this long post about Trump and the world and how I feel about it but it all got deleted so I give up. On this day. On the world. Just for today. I’ll be a believer again tomorrow but allow me to wallow in a bit of misery. 

I will however go to Found for some hugs and a drinks tonight. Because needed. I also got myself a second advent calendar today. Because chocolate. 

My first one is a massive (!!) beauty calendar and a Star Wars calendar for George. Because all kinds of awesome 

But now. Giving up on day.

The awesomest of weddings

Went to Kirsten and Pete’s wedding on Saturday. With day of the dead theme. Seriously amazing. I think all weddings have to be dress up going forward.

Went to Tomlins and got my make up game going. Not too shabby if you ask me. 

Did my man as well. Never has dead looked that sexy before. 

Tomlins were amazing. Because you know Elin being all mc gyver and Ernst and like a make up artist. 

Pete and Kirsten looked all lovely and in love and happy and stuff. Got a tear in my eye. 

Dani and Flo was there as well and we got a picture with the bride. 

Then crazy party started as it should when you are wearing amazing corpse wear. 

Love this guy. So much. Even if he sweated away all the beads I so lovingly put on. 

And these guys. Mainly because we look dead cool…(pun intended) 

Around midnight we headed to Found for a drink and some talking because it was way too hot in the venue. And then for a tiny after party. Tiny because there was only 4 of us and I made us leave after 30 min because tired. 

Sunday was spent like this ALL day after all that dancing. Pretty damn good. Especially having both my hairy heroes home. 

Dinner and revenge

You know you are in for a treat when you’ve got dinner at Katta’s planned. Because Katta is seriously good at food. Like mouth watering, why don’t I eat at hers always, good.

So me and mini hound are heading there tonight for some chill out Friday time. We might never leave…

However, I am trying to entice George home from east with his favourite things. Hands up and thank god for night tube, otherwise I would never see him. 

I also have zero cool and slept in his t-shirt. And I must admit, it was glorious sleep being man and dog free. 9h without waking up. 

To add to my non coolness I am also wearing one of his Star Wars t-shirts today. Double whammy on the nerdy. He has no idea I’m using his clothes, that’s what he gets for not coming home #revengelikeapro 

(It’s not like he is not coming home without telling me, I know he needs to sleep up there to not have to do the 1.5h schlep in the middle of the night. But a woman waiting for her man does not think straight) 

He made a cool ring for his friend though. It’s an A and a H for his initials. I now hope for more rings #putlike5ringsonit 

Winter times

Finally picked up my new glasses. Only took 2 months. They are pretty hot though. And in the 15 year scope since the last ones that was pretty much instant. 

Scarf is because it’s freezing in the office. Our boiler is broken so always frozen people like me are struggling and dreaming of wearing a duvet. If only you could get away with onsie in the office…

Instead I eat the macaroons I celebrated my glasses with yesterday. Wins all around. 

And sneak in Christmas when George is away. I told him it’s an autumn star. He believed me (ish). 

We had a little moment him telling me his not a big fan of Christmas. So I gave him the bedroom Christmas decorations free. And then i bribed him with a Star Wars advent calendar. 

Clever…

But, I was outdone by George, or rather his friend arbi, who gave me the most awesome of wallets. 

All other wallets go hide when me and my Vader wallet own the world (well, I wish, with my economy it’s more own the local supermarkets cheap section). 

Only 36 working days left to holiday.

Forest elf or shrek?

Went for some kind of forest elf look last night. With only 1h for the outfit when I realised half way I also looked a bit like the love child between a deranged clown and shrek it was kind of too late to back down.

So I went with it. And owned it on the London rush hour tube. 

At loves it was good times to be had and I was not alone in my dressed up weirdness any longer. 

These two hug bears were there giving alcohol and love to everyone. 

I then took a photo for George’s brother in the bathroom. As you do to family. That is the sticker for his artist name.

Then my make up started to look more and more Halloween scary so I decided it was time to head home and hide in bed.

So I did. Because elves do what they promise.
