Never ending January

Last day of January. I kid you not it feels like it’s been dragging on forever. Maybe because i feel like I’ve done basically nothing but chilling on the sofa for a month. Needed but honestly kind of boring.

BloggerImage
On Friday…prepare yourself…I stayed at home. In my sweatpants. Eating popcorn.
BloggerImage
On Saturday morning went to the park. Dressed in my sweatpants. Who am I even?
BloggerImage
Came home to chill with these sexy legs. But you can’t stay in bed forever (damn you real life) and in the evening Katta and me had booked date night.
BloggerImage
We walked along a romantic river, had dinner at havelock and went to the cinema to see La la land.
Best date night in a long time and hands up for going on dates with your friends.
BloggerImage
Katta also gave me a very appropriate gift. Because who doesn’t want to be crazy unicorn lady?
BloggerImage
On Sunday me and G celebrated sthlm fashion week in the latest trends. Power couple.
BloggerImage
Went to bed to a leaking boiler so yesterday was spent at home when the boiler guy kept trying to air out all the electricals.
BloggerImage
George was working and I was working.
BloggerImage
In the evening he went off to fry some sausages and I tried keeping him enticed to come back home to his grey clad gf by sending sexy pictures.
That boy is one lucky fucker.

When you are sad and need a drink

Having a hard time with the state of the world. Like really struggling this week because I’m just tired of how far we have left and then seeing the world go backward is like a hard fucking punch to the gut.

So I decided to meet my girls for drinks and see George BBQ for Australia Day. Two good things on a bleak day.
The venue was a whiskey shop in Soho called Milroys. Not only to they serve whiskey from all over the world, they also have a secret door to a bar through a bookcase.
BloggerImage
Yes, you heard me right. You push a button next to the bookcase and it slowly opens and let you down into a basement bar filled with candle light and delicious drinks.
BloggerImage
When we weren’t drinking we had sausages out in the freezing cold with my man.
BloggerImage
Katta was especially lurig and had two.
After a couple of hours Lollo and a colleague showed up and we talked about the state of the world and had more drinks. As you should do.
Tonight a night in. Because I have W. otherwise I would have so gone out and another set of cocktails because delicious.
BloggerImage
Sending you all my love with this awesome times cover. There are hope on the world.

He is back!

George came back last night. Yes I’m admitting to being VERY excited about that. Like having gone to bed at 9 when he was away to make the days go quicker excited.

BloggerImage
He had the best time though. For a second there I thought he would stay forever.
But he showed up brimming with stories and love for Finland and sexy new clothes like a custom made apron. Don’t mind if I do.
He also brought me a lovely gift.
BloggerImage
A new ring to go with my pretty impressive collection. This was made by a guy having his jewellery work shop in the kyrö distillery. You see why I thought I’d lose George forever?
Love that I keep getting these sweet little gifts. He knows me well that guy.
Tonight going to soho to have a drink and celebrate Aussie day.

Being a super woman

Rocked my presentation for the board today. Even if my CEO played a typical manly power move by start by asking me if I was nervous and continue that I should be.

Don’t understand what certain men feel the need to put you down. What will he gain from making me nervous before I present to him and the rest of the board? I’m not likely to do my best.
Anyway, I just got so tired and kind of lost the respect so actually stopped being nervous (I wish that was the reason he did it) and nailed it. Tonight celebrating with George coming home.
BloggerImage
This is how happy I am about that! I have missed him.
BloggerImage
Today also celebrating that it’s 3 years since we brought W home. He is my little hero. Glad that Ol and me are working it out even if it’s a bloody nightmare at times.
BloggerImage
Otherwise I’ve spent the last couple of days in the flat doing laundry and chilling. Had a sip from a cider yesterday and got so excited I walked straight into a door.
Klutz much?
Glad my days by myself are over but also at peace for the first time in what feels like ages after passing my probation and doing this presentation. Not realising how much it weighed on me until I nailed it.
Will sleep like a baby tonight in my hairy snuggle.

In a foggy London

Passed my probation today. I’m not getting fired. Woohoo. I was kind of expecting that they wouldn’t come on the last day but weirder things have happened. Like Trump.

This morning took a long walk with W in misty London
BloggerImage
Very pretty. It was nice being outside the house and not just on the sofa. Even if I have a lot of love for the sofa.
BloggerImage
Tonight doing very little again. G is back tomorrow and there is a mountain of laundry at home as well as just crap to get cleared up. Seriously awesome life.
BloggerImage
Then sofa times again. Because that is what I do best (even if this is my bed because potentially even better than the sofa).
I’m realising I’m taking every chance to do nothing now that G is away. My inner lazy is loving it. Finally I’m becoming somewhat normal and might even becoming a bit tired of the party. Never saw that coming.

A day in Richmond

Headed out to Richmond with the girls yesterday after George left for Finland in the morning.

BloggerImage
I looked happy but I was kind of sad he left. We missed our two days this week so I feel like I haven’t seen him in ages.
BloggerImage
It was freezing out and W is still really bad from his UTI so I wrapped him up in Gs scarf. He looked kind of cute.
BloggerImage
One of those cold, beautiful and lovely winter days.
BloggerImage
You get so much energy from that. And from hanging with your girls.
BloggerImageLook at this pretty day. We walked for 4h and had lunch at petersham. All the things you could ever need.
BloggerImage
After lunch it was more walking on the frosty ground. Closest I get to snow these days.
BloggerImage
After that, as you can imagine, the glorious sofa.
BloggerImage
This morning headed happily to work even if my cold is a bitch hard to get rid of and my nose thing has flared up again.
Sydney, can’t wait to be embraced by your heat.

Meat extravaganza

My colleague Sita took me to this never ending meat restaurant.

Never. Ending. Meat.
My biggest problem with those kind of restaurants is that I realise that I actually can’t eat that much. But I gave it my best.
BloggerImage
When we arrived there was a queue and freezing but we got seated pretty quickly which was lucky because starving.
BloggerImage
The restaurant only have one dish. Meat, fries and sauce. And they keep topping it up when you eat. Delicious. The sauce was weird but to die for.
I did have two helpings. Then I was almost dying.
BloggerImage
But because hero had a creme brûlée as well. Also being a fail I couldn’t eat more than that. Then we rolled home and I fell asleep in meat sweats.
BloggerImage
But first played with snapchat and sent George I miss you messages. Yes, I’m cheesy af.
BloggerImage
Woke up to a message that George had stolen some cigarettes from me. This wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t for the fact that I need to bring them to Sydney since a pack cost £20 there.
I also bought him like 4 pouches of tobacco here. Doubly cheated of cigarettes.
Today heading back to London. Can’t wait for my bed, my hound and my man (in that order :))

To Paris

Paris again. Early morning start. It’s a blessing I can sleep on the Eurostar. Which I did. Next to my poor colleague. She got darth vadered.

BloggerImage
Look at the bags under those eyes…
My life is truly January at the moment. I’m like a 100% more energetic and stable from before Christmas for work and George but I have nada energy for anything else. Like friends. I might be glued to the sofa.
BloggerImage
But how not to with company like this little dude. And the other hairy monster of course.
When his jokes are not on the stupid side (which they sometimes most definitely are, I wouldn’t call me ‘easy’, I’m known to be very stubborn proving people wrong) he is pretty damn awesome.
Tonight I’m looking forward to doing very little. My best work trip thing is to do nothing and go to bed in the hotel room very early. Cause I’m a crazy cat.

Sofa times big time

Going to Paris tomorrow. It kind of unbelievable, my life where I jet off to Paris all the time. Especially since I usually take it as my time to sleep and see nada of the city.

Less tired now though. The holidays did a world of good. And only 30 days until Sydney!
On Friday I went to Lisa’s bday drinks and then to Found for my weekly dose of delicious cocktails and catch up with the locals. It’s kind of chill having a bar as your second home. Meeting new people and cheap drinks.
BloggerImage
This was my Saturday. Wanted to kick my cold in the balls.
BloggerImage
Me and W took a walk after G left and then straight back sofa deluxe. Watched a sweet film on Netflix called sing street.
BloggerImage
Sunday was copy paste. It poured down and we headed down to the river with the mini monster. I do have a lot of love for shitty London weather, feels like home.
BloggerImage
After all that crazy exercise we went home and straight back where we belong. Because it’s January and you need to rest your weary soul.
That’s my weekend folks.

A New Years Eve among the dead

Seeing all those lovely pictures from Christmas I bet you are dying to know what really went down for NYE.

What didn’t go down…
BloggerImage
George and me jumped on an early plane to Dublin after having shared Arlanda with literally EVERY other swede. My previous statement that swedes do everything together ring true when the guy working there confirmed that this year was crazy with everyone going to Thailand.
Not us. We chose freezing Dublin instead. Because bosses.
BloggerImage
Stayed with George Swedish friend Asrin and when in Dublin drank beers and ciders and smoked cigarette and checked out people. Thinking about it, pretty much what we do everywhere.
BloggerImage
Standard Friday night behaviour.
Slept in what felt like forever on Saturday morning and then it was time for NYE magic. The theme for the party was dead celebrities and I went for a hero – Freddie mercury from Queen.
BloggerImage
Oozing of sex…
BloggerImage
George was George Michael. Fitting. (And hot with eyeliner. Sorry dad)
BloggerImage
Pretty damn awesome crew. I had a great time with me adopted Dublin family and we didn’t leave the party until 5 in the morning.
BloggerImage
Hot crew. Loving prince.
Waking the morning after we were embarrassingly lazy again so in the evening I made everyone go to a traditional Irish pub to have seen something of the city.
That was a success…
BloggerImage
George and his friend Simon ended up stripping. When in Dublin.
The night ended late but I headed to bed at a reasonable hour since I had to head back to London the day after.
Definitely coming back to Dublin, they have live music. And make strippers out of men. What is not to love?
