Hello everyone

Picked up my little grumpy, wet dog yesterday. He is off to the vet again today for another round of tests. They have no idea what is going on but he is clearly in pain every time he go off the metacam so something is still wrong.

BloggerImage
W hated being photographed so unless I take a steady neck grip or have treats he will look away if I point a camera at him. Not sure that’s my dog…
We picked Paola up from hsmith and then made some culinary masterpiece with pasta, veggies and mascarpone. Delicious. Good thing having Italian cousin in town to help you cook.
BloggerImage
Today heading up to east for dinner and drinks. At Found where else. And then bank holiday!
BloggerImage
I laughed so hard at this. So true in this day and age. Whenever you meet someone’s new date you have to pretend you don’t know everything about them including their shoe size and grandmas maiden name.
Happy weekend everyone.

Feeling scandalous

A tiny bit tired today. But that’s ok when Paola comes to town for the first time in 20 years. Have to show London at its finest.

So we did. Cause London is awesome.
BloggerImage
Took my my man under one arm and headed to Graphic bar (truth to be told he took me. That guy is just something else when it comes to knowing all the bars and bartenders) for a couple of drinks awaiting cousins arrival.
BloggerImage
I drank a garden. A delicious garden.
George in his new job is responsible for soho, shoreditch and Notting hill. Best areas. And he loves it. Biggest grin ever. Guess that’s what happens when you get paid to go around chatting to people and having drinks.
Sounds like a dream job. But honestly I would hate it. I need my ‘stare into the computer’ downtime once in a while. Good thing it’s my extroverted boyfriend that got his dream job.
Anyway, after drinks we met Paola at Vietnamese restaurant kiln. Delicious.
BloggerImage
And then we took her to disrepute for another drink.
BloggerImage
The drinks have little stories and then you are supposed to chose a drink from that. I felt dangerous and scandalous last night so this was my drink.
After two more we left Paola at the hotel and headed back home. Now the two of the them, man and cuz, are out having lunch. So jealous.

Harry Potter here I come

I had no idea that yesterday would be so nerve wrecking as it ended up being.

Don’t worry, nothing has happened. Well, not nothing but it’s a good thing. Or several good things. The gods are smiling my way. Sitting back and enjoying the ride.
At 11 I signed up for buying tickets to the Harry Potter play. They were re releasing for spring 2018 and it looked like that little BM man I’ve unsuccessfully followed so many times. He depresses me. Because he never get to the finish line before it’s all over.
BloggerImage
I had basically given up on my tickets and resigned to try again in 6 months.
BloggerImage
Until, like magic, I got 3 tickets. For me, George and Julia since it’s her bday and she is a potter fan like me. She just needs to book her calendar for July next year. Something to look forward to.
BloggerImage
Like that wasn’t enough I found the ring George gave me and i thought I’d lost in the bottom of my bag. Winning!!
BloggerImage
With all of this to celebrate me and Katta chilled on the sofa and ate bilar. Excellent way of celebrating anything.
BloggerImage
And today I found a bottomless taco and bloody place around the corner from us.
A couple of pretty spectacularly good things to happen. Tonight Paola touches down, we’ll meet her in soho for drinks. Alcohol might be even better than bilar for celebration.

Professional chillers

I don’t think I can truly convey how happy I was to just sit on the sofa yesterday. I love being away, I love being out and about but i LOVE just sitting at home sometimes and charge my batteries.

That’s what I did yesterday. George was working so me and mini snooz chilled.
BloggerImage
Sorry that my life isn’t more exciting than this. And I won’t be doing anything else tonight either.
Watching season two of Love, read the mechanical by Ian tregillis and eat bilar. Life = pretty bad ass.
BloggerImage
Wearing new pink summer shoes today though. And tomorrow Paola comes to town. And it’s bank holiday this weekend. Lots of plans. But staying put in London.

Amsterdam adventures

Back from a weekend in Amsterdam with my girls. I’ve realised I kind of love Amsterdam. It’s awesome. Minus the cyclists. I hate them. Feel like they were out to get me. Pretty sure they were, it’s a miracle I’m alive.

Anyway, murderous cyclists aside, an amazing trip.
BloggerImage
Started out by easy jet being late. No surprises there. In my experience it’s a 100% hit rate on that.
But eventually we were off and I met Maggie on the airport and headed to our very hip hotel The Hoxton. They had empty old school tin cans in the room, that’s how hip they were.
BloggerImage
We went out for dinner. And talks. Mainly talking to be honest.
Then we let the preggo go home and F and me continued into tbe night.
BloggerImage
Found a Dutch singalong place with an extensive shot list to drink our way through. Which we did. My mama didn’t raise no quitter.
BloggerImage
Bought kebab on the way home and F dropped most of it on the hotel floor. Sorry hotel.
BloggerImage
In the morning breakfast delivery in bed. Around noon. Good start time.
BloggerImage
Then we took some tourist pictures
BloggerImage
And went for more food.
BloggerImage
Before hitting the museum for some interesting and engaging exhibitions
BloggerImage
Like laying in a room watching YouTube. That was nice. But we thought it better to go back to the hotel for a nap.
BloggerImage
So we did. And ate some crisps.
BloggerImage
Woke up at 9 and realised we needed dinner so went to the first place we could find. That turned out to be faaaancy. So we had some oysters and €15 drinks. See you never money.
BloggerImage
Sunday morning I packed all my bilar. Thank you magster. We headed out again. Good thing for me (and the people of Amsterdam) we gave up on the cycling part and just walked around town.
BloggerImage
It was grey but pretty.
Had some food at the hotel and left for the airport
BloggerImage
Easy jet was late again and I felt old. Finally crashed at home around 10.30.
BloggerImage
Thank you girls for an awesome weekend. And especially to the bitterballen for the state of my stomach today.

Entering a Parisienne dream

Went to 1899 Paris yesterday. It was an absinthe fuelled dream of burlesque, dancing, singing and glitter. Like living in a musical. Yes, that is a dream of mine. When everyone around you bursts into song.

BloggerImageI got home from work and started getting my naked on. My trusted corset got whipped out again. This have danced in the desert and been to some crazy raves here in London. Never fails to make me feel sexy beautiful.
BloggerImage
Figuring out stockings. Realising my skirt is way too short for stay ups and suspenders. Way too short.
BloggerImage
Went with fishnets instead. So you can see my ass looking a bit like a netted ham instead.
BloggerImage
Ready to rock and rumble. There is something about burlesque that makes you feel gorgeous.
BloggerImage
Good thing I had my cake since I still got some pretty leery comments on the way to the tube. Nothing like a little ass showing on rush hour tube.
BloggerImage
Met up with the crew and entered the dream.
After hours of living and breathing being a child of the revolution we left for shoreditch house.
BloggerImage
We took photos in the booth
BloggerImage
And ate all the food. No dinner and absinthe dreams make you need nighttime mac and cheese.
BloggerImage
Ended with a set of photos for George before realising I missed him way to much do headed home.
Since he is the best he waited up for me so I could tell him all about my night. And show my outfit. Very much appreciated.
Tonight was to be grandma night on the sofa but my boss just invited me to fancy dinner in town. Too tired for this…

Dressing up in my burlesque

I’m going to moulin rouge secret cinema tonight. Tried my outfit yesterday. Let’s just say that what feels kind of dressed at burning man is VERY naked in rush hour London.

Lunch time need to pick up some fishnets and ruffle pants. Yes, my skirt is totally panty showing.
Will be fun though. And on Friday Amsterdam so short week.
BloggerImage
Yesterday was tired at work but then met George, robin, Steph and Phil for dinner at the polish place. They popped by after and I was fixing outfit while they drank GTs. No tuesday drinking for me though, it’s only April and there is a looooong boozy summer ahead.
Now practicing the moulin rouge songs since there apparently be sing a long. Yes!

Easter shenanigans

Easter is over. I’ve eaten my own body weight in candy and barely any eggs. I’ve done nothing eastery but it feels like I’ve spent every waken moment with George and friends. And that’s better than Easter any day.

Took Katta to the theatre on thursday. We saw the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. It was amazing.
Then we went up to Found for drinks and after party at bens

BloggerImage
Me fangirling to some guitar heroes. There is still a 14 year girl in me loving the guy with a guitar.
BloggerImage
Also fangirled BIG time on Dave being an extra in the new Han Solo movie. Like a bit awkwardly so. He was hiding behind Katta. But I mean, seriously. #sorrynotsorry
When George wanted to leave I was the one stopping us because too much good
BloggerImage
On Friday laid on the sofa with Charlie all day. Then conal swung by and I had my two kids there feeding them sweets and crisps.
But because you need real food as well took the kids and the dog to brewdog for deep fried dinner. Sorry body.
BloggerImage
Saturday and George had the day off. Wooohooo. Me and Woolly left him and Charlie at home in the morning and went to the park to enjoy the flower petals and chase squirrels.
BloggerImage
Warm enough to lay in the grass…
BloggerImage
More endless sofa chill time. Until it was time to meet some of the east crew coming down west. Never thought I’d write that sentence.
We hung out at queens head all day before dinner at eat Tokyo and then bed times for this old lady when the others stayed up.
BloggerImage
On Sunday George and me headed to Cambridge. Snoozy sausage.
BloggerImage
We bought a bag of popcorn and a limoncello and went down to the river.
BloggerImage
Got a bit tipsy. Who doesn’t love day drinking?
BloggerImage
Then sightseeing, lunch and crashing for some sleep at the hotel. It’s hard work with 4 day weekends.
BloggerImage
In the evening met up with an American couple for roof top dinner and drinks.
BloggerImage
Hello Chris and Jen.
They went home and we went on. Met a random glitter guy straight out of a day rave and he bought us too many tequilas and wanted us to join him for an after party.
Since we are grown up and sensible (sometimes) we said no and headed home at 2.
BloggerImage
Which meant we were ready for some country side walking on Monday. George got massive GF points for coming up with the idea.
BloggerImage
We saw old houses
BloggerImage
And followed the river for hours while avoiding cows and admiring ducks. Country side fun.
BloggerImage
You can take the boy out of London but never London out of the boy. Shoes to walk in.
BloggerImage
After a lovely day in the sun and with red noses to show for it we drank the last of our trusted limoncello and headed home to our beloved London.
Amazing getting out of town but even better coming back home.

The greenest green

Half a day to go and then Easter holiday. Four glorious days off.

Starting tonight with theatre with Katta. Feeling cultured. And then maybe a drink. Because can’t be all serious.
BloggerImage
Our flat got a bit of a make over. THE chair (yes, the. It’s the one that is always filled with clothes and shit) has been moved to the living room.
BloggerImage
Loving it. It’s never been used for anything but clothes so it’s time to shine (and dad, the perfect arm chair next time you come to visit.)
BloggerImage
Took W for a walk in flowery London. Primroses. Love the smell.
BloggerImage
London is SO green right now. Love this early spring almost heartachingly greeness.
BloggerImage
Woolly found the perfect stick so we had to stay in the park for an extra 30 min.
BloggerImage
Came home and decided since it’s Easter I’m allowed to be done with my no sweetie thing. Had a delicate ball. Delicious.
BloggerImage
Then I took selfies for George before going to bed. Once there I started to freak out when I could hear something in the garden. Pretty sure it was just a cat but after the burglary my nerves are a bit frayed and I was terrified.
Once George came home I was all freaking out. Poor guy didn’t know what hit him.
BloggerImage
This morning blue skies and greeeeeen.
BloggerImage
And some Easter candy. Missing my Swedish pick and mix, not much for the chocolate, but will have to wait until I’m back in may.
Happy Easter all of you.

The exciting life of a home body

Got a burst of energy when I got back home yesterday and organised our living room past builders.

Or, to be honest, had no energy but guilted myself into doing it.
BloggerImage
It’s common knowledge that I’m pretty lazy. But id had enough and put the books back up and got into a bit of a clearing frenzy.
Woolly slept and I ran around the house swearing hiding most of the stuff down in Georges basement. To be honest, that was mostly his stuff though.
BloggerImage
After all that energy spent me and my snoozer fell straight into bed and awaited George coming home from work.
But we fell asleep before. Can’t wait for our 3 days over Easter since I’ve barely seen him for a while. And yeah, feeling needy.
