Summer of love

Back from weekend. London is all holiday sleepy. And in the office it’s quiet. I slept in and sauntered in around 9.30. Enjoying this before it goes crazy again. 

On Friday I went for ramen with Lollo and then straight home since I’m an old woman now and I was still feeling hangover from Wednesday. 

But my Saturday started like this and that is instant feel good. I stayed in bed way to long reading while george slept. Because I can.

Then we headed to Stillwater with this group of heroes. Dans over from Prague and we celebrated that with grasshopper shots.

And because people are awesome and life amazing Brett, who is the chef, made me my favourite dish gumbo even if it’s not on the menu. That is love. 

I just didn’t know how to do anything but be happy. Favourite people, good food and all the hugs in the world. 

These two <3. I would recommend everyone to go to a Star Wars party at a kung fu bar with a broken arm. Because there two people like this happen to you. 

Then I was kissing my boyfriend pretty much all night because ridiculously in love. 

Yesterday enjoyed it finally being sunny in London again by hanging in the park. You might notice a smudge of something on my chin…

Because ice cream!! With raspberry sauce. If I ever move from London this is one of the things I’ll miss. This totally fake, but delicious, ice cream that tastes like a cloud. 

Then we sat on the sofa me my man and my dog. 

For so long I spent every summer thinking that life would be better. Hoping that next year it can’t be this bad. Last summer was a crazy flurry of falling in love, starting a new job, endless weddings. 

This summer is just slow, and long and filled with love and happiness. 

Back to life

Sun is shining today. Needed after the last couple of weeks of rain. 

Yesterday was spent in hungover agony. Took my team for a drinkstorming – a brainstorming but with drinks to make people relax a bit more.

Me and the teams manager stevie, the only ones past 30, got hammered. Everyone else went home because it was a school night. 

What’s up with today’s youth?

We made poor intern Alberto drink a jägerbomb because he had never had one (and because we totally wanted one) 

Then we headed for happy hour at be at one. Great decision. When george showed up we were smashed!! 

Yesterday was a world of pain. But I survived and today is a new day.

Status update

Nothing crazy happened last night! Neither to us nor the flat. Win!! 

This was life. Sofa, man, dog. Best thing ever. 

So let me show you what we did over the weekend. I stayed home Friday night and katta came by to talk life. On Saturday I woke up feeling F.R.E.S.H and took ‘autumn is coming’ pictures in the park. 

But then it got all sunny so lajved summer instead 

‘I might be a photo model but my favourite things in the world are sniffing bums and chasing squirrels’.

In the evening we went to pimp shuei for the three year anniversary. Being the place we met will always have a place in my heart. 

We drank shots and took selfies

And ate all the noodles in the world. Because delicious and very hungry. 

When we woke up in the morning I decided it was yearly garden clean day. You never really know when it’s going to sneak up on you but it’s always a very unwelcome surprise. 

But we did the job and was surprisingly happy after. Always good doing something useful on a Sunday. 

Then we stayed on the sofa for the rest of the day. Of course. 

When the roof comes down over your head

I was going to tell some fun stories about my weekend but that will have to wait. Because life.

We realised like a week ago that there was a leak down to the basement and contacted the landlord. The builder came on Sunday to have a look and it was all planned to be handled this week.

Until george calls me in a, very controlled (love having a man around), panic yesterday and asked for the builders number since there was water coming through the ceiling.

Theee hours later he sent me this picture. The ceiling in the basement had fallen down. 

Crazy shit. Living in London is in the last 8 months having one burglary, two broken windows, one broken washing machine, one living room leak and now a caved in ceiling. 

Fun times. Luckily no one was hurt and none of our things really broken. It’s just the inconvenience of a hole in the roof. 

Then we watched the latest episode of GoT (oh. my. god) and Woolly chased some cats. 

Hope today is less drama.

We had a photo shoot with Woolly at work on Friday. He was an absolute star 

I plied with him with sausage and love and that turned into awesome pictures like this

Such a little angel. My plan is now to make him into a model and get rich. I’m sure he’ll love that. 

Chocolate balls and awesome boyfriends

I got taken out for a couple of days by this really weird mini cold. George was a hero and took care of me. 

Me laying at home trying to look less crap with some filters. Love that it just totally changes your face. 

Then my man came home and looked all hot matching the flowers as well as making me food. *blessed*. 

And because I was high on day and night nurse in a burst of energy I made us chocolate balls. Because everything gets better with sugary goodness. 

Yesterday I slept 15h. Then I took a shower. Because smelly. Walked up to pick up doggo and then watched like 5 episodes of vampire diaries. 

Today brought mini man in to work again. He is doing a photo shoot for the social team. And it’s Friday. Soon weekend freedom. 

Lifeing life

Coming down with a cold. Expected in this hot/cold weather paired with loads of people around me feeling a bit iffy. Oh well, good thing it’s quiet at work. 

George was awesome last night and came home with flowers. Just because. Which is even better than a reason. 

Doggo is also becoming famous through work. Keep on rocking little one.

On Monday I matched the office in my sale dress from scotch and soda. I’m aceing outfit pictures. 

And this is a picture of me from Scotland as a bearded Viking lady. Or a troll. No one really knows.

Tonight tossing between going to Stillwater for Brett’s gumbo or staying at home to beat the cold. It’s riveting. 

Hardcore Henry

Hey guys. Haven’t written here since Thursday but I’m still alive (ish). Currently pretending to have things to do at work. That’s hard. 

On Thursday we had our summer party here in London 

We celebrated with the champagne we had won for being an awesome team. 

Played some games 

And chilled out. 

We also OWNED the photo booth. Because heroes.

Then I made my manager buy mojitos for everyone. Great call. 

Since it ended with me throwing an after party for the four of us still standing. 

My poor colleague Henry sitting in the window ended the party at his boss’s by breaking our window. With his ass. Saying poor because I can imagine that hungover waking up and remembering that…

On Friday Stevie was a hero and bought all of us McD for breakfast. Needed on the hungover day.

I sent everyone home early and then katta and me went to Found. No more pictures was taken. For the best when you look like you’ve aged 10 years.

Saturday me and george had lunch with his cousin visiting from Berlin. High five to family.

And because we had a Saturday work and dog free we went for drinks in soho 

And after that dinner at dishoom. I dream of their black dahl. It’s almost as good as Brett’s gumbo. Tipsy and full. Dream life.

We ended the night going to a party at Jeans and Natalia’s. Well, ended…then we went to a club in seven sisters before warehouse party at bens. Came home at 5 in the morning.

Sunday was a lost day. We stayed in bed, ate everything good and watched movies. Maybe not so much a lost day as a winning day.
