Paris here I come

Off to Paris today. 2 days strategic workshop. Must admit I’ve been fresher sounding like an old man and still sporting my cold sore.

But for once I’m not presenting anything so feeling pretty good about this. Christmas feeling in Paris.

I’ve bought all my Xmas gifts now btw. Including this for myself. Elf themed PJs for the country house. Much needed.
I have of course gone overboard as always but given my tendency to have nightmares about forgetting to buy any I’m glad to be done before moving and all that jazz.

Here is our tiny tree this year. I’ve been good realising I can’t get a big one with the move but I couldn’t give up on Christmas completely.

One lucky girl

It’s first of advent and I’m finally feeling better after spending the weekend in bed kicking the last of my cold.

Got the house in order this morning. Hidden in this picture is the moving chaos of like 10 000 books of olives but from this angle it looks nice and Christmassy.
George was not convinced. I think he believes i make up things to celebrate in December.

But I persevered and wore my sweater and a little bow. Presentation is everything.

And because George is too good to be true he brought me saffron buns from fabrique.
Yes. He is the boyfriend super hero.

He did take care of me all weekend. Cooked me food yesterday and I kid you not, say next to me trying to find comedies for us to watch all day.
Sweetest man ever.

And on Friday him and Stu brought me food. Because there is not only one but two amazing men in my life.

I also had company from Katta who came bearing sweeties and a hyacinth.
Damn, just realised I’m spoilt rotten. If a person is judged by the people close to them I think I might be a saint. Which we all know is not true. But they are still heroes.
And now George is cooking me dinner again. I’m off to help him.

Status update

I know it’s been quiet my end but I’ve just been home, again, with a cold and I’m so bored by my own life that I’ve ignored it. Completely.

However, some fun things did happen this week.

We went to the gin off

Jay won but it was very close and I must admit I loved George’s the best. And we all know I dong lie about something as important as gin cocktails…

Then we celebrated but was actually home by 1. Monday after all.

I woke up with a killer cold sore. Always a show of bad things to come. I had dinner with Ella and her mum, so lovely to see them, but waking up on Wednesday I was dead.

Headed to work because you have to give it a try but sent myself home after my meetings.
Since then it’s been me and the sofa…

But today it’s first of December and we are celebrating with our advent calendars at home.

Mine is absolute indulgence

I even found this years first hyacinths. December is complete…
Today Katta comes over during the day and then Stu comes tonight. Need to wrap my Xmas gifts for the Krastev’s so that he can bring them to Sydney.
I promised George I would be better with the gift buying this year. I failed. Everyone gets one…
