One cake pop to rule them all

I have told you before about my colleague Udays amazing sisters that run a cake business called Pastry so tasty. Today they blew our mind again with Easter themed cake pops.

Vanilla cake pop with crushed chocolate eggs on top. For real. Its all kinds of delicious. I dont even know how to not eat all of it in one go. So i did. Before lunch.

Coming into this is true happiness. Missing out on the swede easter eggs filled with pick and mix when I live here. But, i get this so not too unhappy about the state of things.

Wore pink to match London yesterday.

Then i had the best time on the sofa with my man and my dog. I swear he is the cutest and i dont listen to the haters that think he is ugly (mum). He is the sweetest thing.

Yeah, we were all totally in love with each other yesterday. Family <3.

Im off work tomorrow so will see if i can be bothered to blog, otherwise – Happy Easter!!

Stepping into a fantasy world

I didnt take any pictures yesterday. It was a very standard Monday with me going to work, sitting in a couple of meetings, taking some, actually pretty good, decisions and then heading straight home to the sofa to watch This is Us.

Perfect Monday.

George came home from playing basketball around 10 and since im a granny these days fell into bed around 11 fast asleep within 5 min. Living the rockstar life. Not sure i should be proud or worried ive barely had a drink and definitely not a cigarette since George bday. At least he keeps the flag flying high for our little family.

Tomorrow is Secret Cinema though and then im off so ill make up for my non partying by dressing up for Bladerunner. Trying to figure out outfit. Im a scavenger but Bladerunner women are either business bitches or prostitutes. Im sure i can put something together from my Burning  Man days.

Like this. But more clothes. Because freezing. (Damn, i just realised i REALLY want to go again this year. I did stop myself from saying yes when my old camp asked me. Because money and life and just a big ass holiday to plan but i can literally smell the desert and feel the love of thousands of people dancing together in the sunrise when  looking at this picture.)

And glowsticks. Always glowsticks. My life is 100% better with all kinds of neon, glitter and LEDs. I know it makes me totally running from real life but hey, real life is pretty grey and rainy right now.

Tonight will be outfit planning. If i cant go to BM at least i can take out all my old dusty clothes and feel the magic for a second.

Almost flowering

Easter week. I have both Thursday and Friday off so its a short week for me. Extremely not unhappy about that. George and me are leaving town on Friday so ill have all of thursday to chill at home and on Wednesday its Secret Cinema Bladerunner.

I bought a very sexy umbrella for that. With a light up shaft. Need to figure out the rest of my outfit but ill think i go easy for this one. All black and red lips. Even if i dont believe in that when it comes to dress up sometimes less is more.

Spring is so so slow this year. Its kind of here and then it gets freezing and feels all winter again. After a weekend of staying at home on Friday, taking a long walk with Katta on Saturday and watching a  movie with George on Saturday night i ended up in a somewhat blooming Ravenscourt on Sunday.

Brought some flowers home with me. George stayed on the sofa so felt he needed at least a whiff of the outside.

I made him join me in the garden when i was pottering around. I bet our neigbours loved him liked this. I finally saw one of the gnome neighbours, a bald, kind of scary looking, eastern european guy talking gardening. This will be interesting.

W and me sat outside for a while until W made me come into the sofa by playing with his toys until i sat down and the whole family was snuggling up together. That little doggo makes sure he gets what he wants.

With a blanket you could almost pretend it was warm enough.

I eventuallt got G to leave the flat by talking cookies and going to the store. I trick George into doing what i want and Woolly tricks me. So, i guess its the mini hound that rules this family.

Londons smallest lunch disco

Friday. Must admit im trying to dodge any kind of socialising this weekend. George told me this morning that ‘you used to be out later but its been two years, you are getting old’. True. I am. And im not sorry. I feel like i paid my dues to the party gods.

Yesterday we went for lunch with the team. We found the smallest little disco room in the basement of a korean restaurant. Lunch party! Plus the best team ever.

I ate an halloumi burger with seaweed sprinkled fries. It was ok. Im just not a big burger fan. But i like hanging with my team so you win some, you lose some.

That could have been all that day had to offer. Instead i got pulled into a legal matter at work and stress levels reached peak again. I had to it in as a witness and is now part of the investigation. I think its because im swedish and therefore neutral. And, im also pretty fair and hard to sway. I would be awesome at jury duty.

I need this weekend to be fairly uneventful. Me, the garden and a book. Welcome hygge.

Happy bday to queen Gina!

First and most important today

Happy Happy birthday Gina!!

Hope the boys spoil you rotten and all the love from London. We will laugh extra much and dream big in your honour. And ill make George eat all his vitamins 🙂

Also, ‘me talking about the sun’ season have just started. Because you know what, its sunny outside!! Welcome spring, i have missed you.

With sun poking its little head out George and me are finally feeling ready to plan our moving in party.

This is the invite photo to Londons Best Tiki Party!! Its going to be bloody marvellous. And all things tiki. Kind of want Rasa to come with pina colada from Trailer Happiness. I dream of those.

19th of May the doors open to the garden of fun (and hopefully minus the snow). Be there or be square.

Adding a lovely photo of me and my London family. Because they are the best and they make London so much better every day. They both came into my life here in London around the same time and my level of happiness in the two last years testify to how amazing they are

I thought my dinner streak had come to and end but after one night of eating out i was right back at it. Came home to Liam sending himself off with yet another delicious home made meal.

Vegetarian tacos. Sweetpotato and pumpkin with black beans and spices with guac, tomatoes and pickled radishes. I have decided that we are keeping Liam as our private chef. He rocks my taste buds.

Then finally i had some time to myself to keep watching This is us. Oh boy i cried. Like body wrecking sobs of the best kind. I want to live their lives. Until i go to bed and think about my own life and realise that my people are as good as these people, if not better.

My life is actually better than the movies right now.

Chillerill in my garden

So, i was supposed to be on my way to Paris but due to a strike starting tomorrow and the fact that i booked my ticket from the wrong station (dont even get me started) im still in London.

London is pretty though but i was looking forward to a french baguette and some macaroons. Next time. Instead ill be sitting on the sofa sans W and George and just watch some series. When the cats away…

Worked from home yesterday and it was SUNNY!! I could sit out in the garden. For real. If this is the sign of things to come im even more in love with our flat.

What you see in the background is me trying to plant some strawberries. I think i failed. They said you could resurrect the plants by soaking them in water but they look very, very dead.

So far i would say its a 50/50 split on the survival rate in my garden (yeah, its mine. George couldnt care less). No green thumb yet but not completely useless.

Woolly enjoyed the outside as well. Always bringing his favourite toy. I have a feeling him and me will have some seriously good time out here this summer.

Got some flowers from one of our vendors for helping them out with a work thing. Yes please, it is spring moving into our flat.

Liam, whos been living with us for almost two weeks, are leaving today so my plan is to spruce the place up a bit. Want it all spring and fresh. W has been walking around with dirty paws so need to clean carpets and sofas and pillows and everything.

(When did i turn into my mum? I used to not care about that stuff.)

Yesterday was my best person Kattas bday. Excuse the photo quality but this is me trying to show the most 35+ gift ever. Katta loves the series This is us (dont we all) but season 2 is not on Amazon. So George gave it to her. On a USB stick.

On a USB stick. Thats almost like a floppy disc.

Who even does USB sticks these days? A girl who doesnt use drive or dropbox or even facebook :).

I hope she enjoys it. (I think i know what you are doing today Katta…)

The happy birthday girl. I gave her a birthday cake ballon. Because everyone needs more balloons in their lives. Im also taking her to Oxford in the spring. Because everyone definitely needs that in their lives. Walks, afternoon tea and cocktails.

George and Julia. Julia and me put this small, but lovely, little surprise dinner together. We went for spanish tapas and GTs. Perfect for a tuesday birthday in March.

Hope Katta felt all the love. Because she deserves it more than anyone.

Not really sure what has Lollo so perturbed. That girl being a marathon running force of nature showed up straight from the gym in a glitter top. Hats off.

Food was delicious. Hence the very focused faces in this picture. Not sure who was happiest with the night, Katta or George who got to take the doggie bag home. Nothing to make my man as happy as food.

Maria came all the way from Sweden to give us all some swede flair.

What a lovely night and happy, happy birthday to one of my absolute favourite people. Lets rock 2018.

Sunshine on my face

Im at the end of my almost full week dinner streak. It was good as long as it lasted by today is Katta’s bday and we might have some plans tonight (No Katta, i wont give it away here).

Tomorrow im supposed to go to Paris but they have declared a transport strike so not sure its the best ide. Dont want to get stuck there over the weekend. Time will tell if im off gallivanting or staying put.

Yesterday went to Ellas for dinner. Havent seen her in ages but she was as sweet as always. Katta and me dug into her delicious food with gusto.

Ellas mum was also there. Always so lovely to see them and i kept being bombarded by Lola showing me all her love. Thats what you need, a warm place filled with gorgeous women in this cold London spring.

Salmon with oven cooked root vegetables and a chickory salad. Delicious.Cant even pick a winner from my 6 days dinner streak because they were all so good. Hands up to my friends.

My best little friends. She was beyond excited all night having company and getting to play. I left W at home because whenever he hangs with Lola you can find him hiding in the darkest corner. She is too much woman for him.

When i came home one of my late bday gifts from George arrived. This is a serotonin necklace. So whenever im running low i always have some with me. I can already feel it work its magic. Very sweet and thoughtful as well. He does good my man.

Working from home today. Big up sofa times. But right now im actually in the garden. Finally warm enough to sit outside. Im going to love this so much once the spring truly comes. My flowers are blooming, W has his bed outside and im working in the sun. This is my own slice of heaven.

Dinner heaven

I know that im going to sound like absolutely everyone else but im SO tired of the cold. Both being cold and having a cold. I left Sweden god dammit.

Oh well, daily rant done. Instead focusing on dinner with Ella tonight and lots of fun stuff going this week. Plus, it cant stay cold forever (she tells herself).

On Friday me and W took our furry little selves (not so keen on the shaving in these cold times) to Katta’s to get treated to some food and a listening ear.

Maroccan chicken tagine with coucos, Hands up for friends with cooking skills. (and see me rolling on the getting treated to dinners all week).

We planned life. It always feels like you work it out on these long nights discussing on the sofa but then monday comes and you are back to ‘WTF am i doing really’. My standard Monday plan is to become a dog walker and stop office life. Until i realise i need to walk like 10 dogs 4 times a day to survive. Then office dont seem so bad.

Woke up bright and bushy tailed on Saturday and ate a very swedish breakfast. Hardbread, kaviar and cheese on the tray Filippa gave us. This is how you breakfast people!

After a day on the sofa getting increasingly annoyed at all the twists and turns in Lost (what is going on man??) we headed out into Beast from the East 2.0. Or more like pup from the east.

To Lollo. Yet another home cooked dinner. I could get used to this. She made a lemon and thyme meat stew with potatoes. Delicious and perfect winter food. She can totally not get away with ‘i dont cook’ any longer. I see your bluff Miss.

George and me drank coktails and got tipsy and Lollo kept feeding us all while healthily drinking water. She’s crazy doing a marathon so fair enough. People like her make me feel like a lazy blob. But it takes skill to chill like me.

On the way home we had a snowball fight. Because you must and we are still totally kids. As you can see George got me good.

You take what you can get. A somewhat flavourless ice lolly (and dont worry, Lollo fed us dessert).

Came home to Liam having found his place in life. Our old man chair eating food from the lapdog. That tray is the best invention ever.

After having a drink on the sofa we fell asleep still clutching our glasses. Its depressing but true, we are getting old.

Sunday morning hangout time with my favourites. The best thing about out garden is that W wants to stay in bed forever on weekend mornings.

So that is what we do. Stay in bed forever. Especially when its snows outside, nothing better to do.

To make this snowy Sunday even better we decided to have a onsie day. Yes, we just hung around the house in our onsies. Me being a unicorn.

And George his spirit animal Chewbacca. Woolly was in his fur onsie as well. Less choice in the matter for that little dude.

When it was time to walk W couldnt be bothered to change our clothes. You are welcome London to this amazing sight.

Just your casual Sunday dog walking outfit. Two happy tails walking along.

Then George cooked me dinner (telling you, i am on a roll) and we watched more Lost. Im like a bear hiding away fro winter at the moment. I promise ill leave the sofa when spring comes.

I believe in you spring

Today it finally feels like spring outside. Its 10 degrees, sunny and friday. Cant get better than that. Im totally ignoring that its supposed to snow this weekend. Living in the now and carpeing the shit out of this diem.

London is dressing up. I absolutely love this city when its like this. When in Stockholm the trees would still be bare and the ground frozen London is filled with yellow daffodils, purple crokuses and pink blossoming trees. Reminds me again why i got stuck in this city.

Last night it was still light out when i picked up Woolly and we chilled together on the tube back home. We’ve got good times at the moment mini man and me. He is very cuddly and we’ve taken him off the meds without any signs of issues. Crossing all my fingers he is ok now.

Coming home to Liam staying with us he told me he’ll cook me dinner again. Yes please. You can stay with us as long as you want to if you keep cooking up a storm of deliciousness.

Lasagna on Bulgars Bad Ass Bolognese, garlic bread and salad. Anyone looking for a handsome, smart, funny man as well as a seriously talented chef Liam is a catch.

George was out working the bars with Stu. All of a sudden I got this photo. The heroes Stu, Emma and Harry had gotten us tickets to book of mormon. Yes please. I love that musical and i will love even more watching George enjoying it.

All while we were just chilling at home. W is starting to realise Liam equals food so he is very happy to have him staying with us.

Look at how its blooming out there. On our morning walk my winter jacket was too warm for the first time this year. Yes!

Met Moley and Mischkin and had a lovely walk around the park. I have a seriously good feeling about 2018. I mean, it started pretty epic with getting engaged to my dream man so its already hard to beat.

The AllBright

Back in my London. Its grey and rainy and its going to snow again this weekend but im all filled with good things after a great couple of days in Scotland and just generally feeling happy.

Got accepted to this newly opened female members club. Im not a fan of members clubs but this is working to empower women in business in the UK and this is something i really care about. Ive been looking for a way to be part of this movement and i hope that this will be a great way of doing this.

And it means i have a nice place to chill out when i need to.

Its called the AllBright and is in Bloomsbury (yes, my literary heart rejoices). They have a lot of seminars and workshops as well as a gym, a beauty saloon and of course a bar. Men is welcome which is a must for me. I dont want to be part of something that excludes men completely.

If you want to a read an article about it here is a good one. I have high hopes this will be a good space for growth and interesting conversations.

” The club’s focus, instead, will be on furthering female careers, starting female-led businesses, and celebrating successful women. “Women gain confidence from seeing other women in positions of leadership.”

I can see myself chilling and changing the world here…

After a days journeying i came home to realise i left the keys at home. 20 min outside before Liam, who is staying with us for a bit, let me in. He did cook us delicious food though so all forgiven. Love a man who cooks.

Big hands and pringles dont go well together. But who cares when you got matching dashing men in burg decorating your kitchen.

Yes. Very tasty and i ate a massive portion. Just what i needed after eating meat and potatoes for three days straight.
